SA Health has identified multiple people who had contact with the patient, of whom 13 people have been directed to receive clearance antibiotics.
Meningococcal health information has been distributed to contacts in accordance with the InvasiveCommunicable Diseases Network Australia: National Guidelines for Public Health Units.
There have been four cases of invasivereported in South Australia this year, compared to three cases recorded at the same time last year.
Of the four cases in 2018, three have beenB and one Y.
No links have been established between this case and other recent cases.
A total of 36 cases were reported in 2017: 22B, 11 W, and 3 Y.
