The Meningitis Centre is a parent-led, national organization offering support services to families who have experienced all forms of meningitis and/or meningococcal or pneumococcal septicaemia.
The Meningitis Centre was established in Perth in 1992 by a group of concerned parents and health professionals who used their personal experiences to assist and encourage families affected by meningitis.
The Centre provides access to written information about the disease and possible after effects. It also provides opportunities to meet others who have experienced the disease and wish to share their personal experiences. Speaking to someone who has been through a similar experience can deliver immense benefits.
