The Meningitis Centre receives financial assistance from various private organisations and individuals.
Funding the Centre’s day-to-day operations leaves very little in the bank for other projects, which could have a very positive impact in the fight against meningitis.
Some of the projects on hold awaiting financial support include
- Expanding the Centre’s range of family support services.
- Developing more interactive services on the website to handle inquiries from parents and carers.
- Recruiting and training more volunteers to expand the number of information evenings and presentations being conducted by the Centre.
- Securing the ongoing activities of the Centre. The foremost objective of the board of management is to maintain staffing levels so that the daily dissemination of information and the provision of support services to the public remains effective.
